According to the Announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (No. 23 of 2022), SJ/T 11852-2022 "General Specifications for Lithium-ion Batteries and Battery Packs for Service Robots" was approved and released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on October 20, 2022, and will come into effect on January 1, 2023.

SJ/T 11852-2022 "General Specification for Lithium-ion Batteries and Battery Packs for Service Robots" is applicable to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for service robots. It stipulates the terms and definitions, safety requirements, performance requirements, etc. of lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for service robots, and describes the corresponding test methods.

Service robots mainly include personal/home service robots (such as robots applied in the fields of housekeeping, education and entertainment, elderly care and assistance, personal transportation, etc.) and public service robots (such as robots applied in hotel services, bank services, venues, catering, etc.).
